Account Suspension & Termination Policy

Version 1.1Effective: July 14, 2026Last updated: July 14, 2026

BoxNear may suspend or terminate accounts to keep the marketplace safe, legal, and fair.

1. Grounds for action

  • Violations of the Terms, Acceptable Use, or Prohibited Items policies.
  • Fraud signals, repeated disputes, or repeated cancellations.
  • Stripe closing or restricting a linked connected account.
  • Legal orders or regulatory requirements.
  • Security threats or abuse of BoxNear systems.

2. Types of action

  • Removing an individual listing.
  • Pausing paid listings until an issue is resolved.
  • Placing a payout hold on affected reservations.
  • Restricting an account (e.g., unable to create new listings).
  • Suspending or permanently terminating an account.

3. Notice

When practical, BoxNear will notify affected users. Immediate action may be taken without prior notice when necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address ongoing fraud.

4. Effect of termination

Termination ends your right to use the Service. Existing paid reservations continue to be processed as necessary to complete pickups, refunds, and disputes. Stripe governs the disposition of the connected account balance under its own agreement.

5. Closing your account voluntarily

You may close your account by emailing support@boxnear.com. Records related to financial transactions, disputes, and fraud will be retained as required by law.

6. Appeals

To appeal a suspension or termination, reply to the moderation email or contact support@boxnear.com.
