Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies BoxNear uses on boxnear.com and in the BoxNear mobile apps.
1. First-party storage (required)
- Supabase auth token — stored in browser localStorage; without it you cannot stay signed in.
- Session / UI state — small values used to recover from stale asset loads and to remember interface preferences.
2. Third-party cookies and telemetry
- Stripe — Stripe.js loads on checkout and sets its own fraud-prevention cookies while you enter payment details. Stripe's cookie policy: stripe.com/legal/cookies-policy.
- Mapbox — map tiles and geocoding requests are made to Mapbox and may set telemetry cookies. Policy: mapbox.com/legal/privacy.
- Supabase — realtime and API traffic terminates at Supabase and may set standard hosting cookies.
- Google / Apple — if you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers may set cookies as part of the OAuth exchange.
BoxNear does not currently deploy third-party analytics or advertising pixels.
3. Native apps
The iOS and Android apps use native equivalents of the above (secure storage for the auth token, push-notification identifiers, and Stripe's mobile SDK when applicable).
4. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and site data through your browser or device settings. Signing out will not remove cookies set by third-party processors during checkout.
